2025 Board Members

It’s with great pleasure we announce some new blood coming into our organization to help us grow and better serve our members.

2025

Name: Lena Meringdal
Location: Netherlands
Role: Measurement and Engagement

Lena started skating at age 14 to compensate the boredom and having to sit still all day in school. Being a broke kid, she thought that by building her own boards she could skate more gear. By having to test the boards on performance and durability she slowly fell into the addiction of distance skating. Now a life without being on 4 wheels is unimaginable to her.

Lena, even though growing up she thought that endurance sports were the worst, quickly learned to love distance skateboarding as an endurance sport. Skating is so much more fun to do on the long run compared to simpler sports like biking and running. Now Lena especially loves the real long distances. The longer the skate the better! Her biggest accomplishment is setting up the new 24h world record on 2024 UK Ultra. Continuing with the ultra distance skateboarding events she even set up her own “Vennbahn 250” race.

Lena joined the IDSA beginning 2024. She set up a worldwide working track measurement system in 2024. Deeply loving LDP she will be responsible for doing IDSA social media in 2025. She always has an open ear to hear about ideas for the IDSA. Her vision is to grow LDP, without sacrificing the welcoming family like LDP community. Do you have ideas or have done some cool skate shit we should share? Contact Lena at Lena.meringdal@theidsa.org

Name: Cori Wolff

Location: Covington, KY, USA

Role: Secretary of Skate

Cori Wolff is a master grom.  A life-long learner, she picked up longboarding at age 34 after buying a DB complete on a whim at an art fair in Kentucky.  It took her a couple years to get going, clumsily skating circles in a parking lot before eventually commuting to work.

She discovered Cincinnati Longboard Crew in 2021 and attended Sweaty Palms Slide Jam, where the local talent left her dumbfounded.  Cruising into a mid-life crisis anyway, Cori decided it would be a good time to learn hands-down slides and started her foray into freeride and downhill.  In 2022 she began long-distance pushing in earnest and soon after competed in Miami Ultraskate, where she took Women's 1st and made the 200 Club; she returned the following year to win Overall 3rd / Women's 1st, break the course record for her age group, and PR with 246.74 miles in 24 hours.  Cori now participates in as many in-person and virtual skate events as she can get her feet on.  She's a two-time winner of Ladiga and Skatecamp, two-time silver medalist of Broad Street Bomb, and bronze medalist of Broadway Bomb.  In March 2023 she founded Social Push Cincy, hosting 50+ weekly all-wheels sessions per year for all ages and skill levels, including the popular Poker Push.

Cori is honored to ride for Pantheon Longboards and Ohio Downhill Skate, and continues to believe this whole skateboarding thing is just a dream.  Acknowledging that skating and politics are inseparable, her main goal is to ensure the sport is accessible for all.  She was invited to join the SkateIDSA board in 2024 after advocating for changes to make events more gender-expansive and equitable.  As unofficial "Secretary of Skate", her duties include taking board/committee meeting minutes, leading nonprofit compliance, and supporting DEIA.  You can reach her at cori.wolff@theidsa.org to discuss engagement opportunities, including student program support.
