IDSA Point System

Become A Member

The IDSA Point System is used to keep track of member’s performance at IDSA sanctioned events that take place in a calendar year. The Point System will keep IDSA members ranking for the race season.

  1. Only IDSA Sanctioned events will be eligible for the IDSA Point System.
  2. All Participants will be categorized in Skate IDSA events by the following divisions:-Men/Women Overall
    -Men/Women by age:  <9, (10-13), (14-18), (19-29), (30-39), (40-49), 50+
  1. Skate IDSA Point System is setup to allot points based on participants finishing placement as follows:-1st: 200 points
    -2nd: 150 points
    -3rd: 100 points
    -4th: 90 points
    -5th: 89 points, each subsequent position loses 1 point until
    -92nd: 2 points
    -93rd to last participant: 1 point

Skate IDSA Point System will also be based on number of participants at event. Participant’s points will multiply by the following percentage.  No points will be awarded if the event has less than 10 participants.

Mass Start events

  • 10-24 racers = .25 of Points
  • 25-39 racers = .50 of Points
  • 40-49 racers = .75 of Points
  • 50-69 racers = 1 of Points
  • 70-84 racers = 1.2 of Points
  • 85-99 racers = 1.5 of Points
  • 100-119 racers = 1.75 of Points
  • 120 + racers = 2 of Points

Bracket event

  • 2 racers in heat = .50 of Points
  • 3 racers in heat = .75 of Points
  • 4 racers in heat = 1 of Points
  • 5 racers in heat = 1.25 of Points
  • 6 racers in heat = 1.50 of Points
  • 7 racers in heat = 1.75 of Points
  • 8 racers in heat = 2 of Points
